Yelp understands pizza as much as any social network can, which is why many Yelpers have made Earth Wind & Flour a Santa Monica mainstay. Not only does Yelp know where to get cheap drinks with quality service, “Earth, Wind & Flour has one of the best happy hours in West LA,” but it has also fallen in love with our salads. Word has gotten around that the spinach salad with barbeque chicken, complimented with sides of ranch and Italian to mix, is one of the best salads EVER. Sue D. moved away after practically “living at Earth Wind & Flour.” But while she was here her favorites were the spinach and BBQ chicken salad. When Earth, Wind and Flour first opened it had four salads on the menu, now it has over twelve varieties and the future looks even greener.
Salad, pasta, pizza, entertainment…and rolls.
Lori E., whose favorite dish is the capicola flat bread pizza, says on Yelp that the salads are “very fresh and very filling, especially when paired with the sourdough and garlic dinner rolls.” The sourdough rolls are a great accent to any dish, Yelp can’t get enough of their buttery goodness. Eric T, who no longer lives in LA, says he visits Earth, Wind & Flour whenever he’s in town; his favorite is the primavera with angel hair. Bill Gates describes another pasta dish, the chicken parmigiana, as being “5 stars, simply divine, THE reason to visit this restaurant. I don’t know how to describe why this dish tastes so good here.”
For over thirty years Earth Wind & Flour has kept it in the family and grown with the community of Santa Monica.
Given the night you arrive, you can expect magicians or live music, a friendly family oriented staff, warm, eccentric décor and a bar next to the dining area for those over 21 to watch the game and unwind. If you’re getting food just try not to fill up on the rolls first.
